Launch of Collab IPA Brew with John Fearless & Napa Barrel Project

The Napa Valley Cricket Club (NVCC) is excited to announce the release of the “All-Rounder” a collaboration IPA beer between the club and two of its sponsors, John Fearless Company and Napa Barrel Project in downtown Napa.

Napa Barrel Project Beer

To celebrate the launch of the beer the cricket club is hosting a Launch Night event on Friday, May 6 from 5pm at Napa Barrel Project (NPB) which is located at 1040 Clinton St. in downtown Napa. NPB is the Wine Country spinoff of the successful Big Stump Brewing Company which is located on L Street in Sacramento.

While the beer has still to be finished Tyler Easterling, Sales Director at Napa Barrel Project, is excited by how it’s been tasting from the fermenter samples. “So far it’s showing really attractive notes of stone fruit and papaya, with hints of pine, and it’s going to round out into a lovely fresh beer that will be a great addition to our lineup at Napa Barrel Project. This IPA should finish up at around 6% ABV and it will be a perfect summer beer.”

John Fearless Company CEO and Founder Rob Bolch is no stranger to cricket club collaboration brews as he was involved with Stone Brewing Napa on the very popular Wicketkeeper in 2019 and is excited about this latest collaboration. “The All-Rounder” will be an IPA brewed here in Napa utilizing ingredients from cricket-playing countries.” said Bolch. “These will include Extra Pale Muntons malt from Suffolk in England in addition to three hop varieties from South Africa – Southern Passion, Southern Tropic, and XJA. It’s looking like it’s going to be a great IPA and I’m excited that it will be ready in time for summer at Napa Barrel Project.”

Adersh Maqsood, Social Coordinator at NVCC, added “We’re happy to deepen our relationship with the folks at Napa Barrel Project who have been a great sponsor to the club this season. Their space is perfect for our monthly First Friday social gatherings and now we get to drink the All-Rounder too while getting back to normal with the club’s social activities.”

Maqsood himself would be considered an All-Rounder in cricketing terms, which essentially describes a cricket player who is strong at both batting and bowling (think pitching.)

The launch of the All-Rounder IPA is open to beer-loving members of the public who are welcome to come along and give it a taste!
