The Napa Valley Cricket Club will again host its World Series of Cricket on Sunday, June 23rd, from 10 a.m. at the Napa Valley Expo in downtown Napa as its showcase match of the 2017 season. As ever the game will be hotly contested as the Rest of the World (RoW) team of members look to retain the trophy they won from the American / Australian (AA) team in 2016, and are also looking to tie up the annual event score at 3 wins apiece with the AA team currently ahead 3 – 2.

Napa Valley Cricket Club plays first ever match at Napa Valley Expo in downtown Napa in searing temperatures

The Napa Valley Cricket Club (NVCC) inaugurated a new intra-club match recently as they played a City v County Challenge Match at the Napa Valley Expo in downtown Napa. In near record temperatures with the mercury topping 105f in the shade, the club started playing at 9:00am and shortened the match from their regular format 35 overs to 25.

Napa Valley CC loses first ever match in Napa to local wine country rivals Sonoma Gullies

A historic day for the Napa Valley Cricket Club (NVCC) with their first ever cricket match in the city of Napa ended in a chastening defeat to wine country rivals Sonoma Gullies recently. Despite a strong showing with the bat from Pete Sander and four wickets apiece for Karan Grewal and club captain Bernie Peacock NVCC had no answer to a strong team performance from the Gullies.
